The uniqueness of the kshethra, lies in the fact the being situated at North Chennai, a place, which fails to feature in the music list of the learned audience contrary to the fame of music in south Chennai, is able to make a mark for itself under the prevailing conditions.
The institutions existence dates back to the year 1999 and since then there is no looking back in its growth. The gandharva kshethra, commenced its annual functions from the year 2004.
